ABOUT

We are two passionate South African Speech therapists who have been running our own practises for years. We have worked with mainstream earners as well as children with special education needs for a combined total of more than 30 years!

We have put together so many carefully designed and graded materials for ourselves over the years, and have decided we should make these available to help out our fellow therapists and teachers working with children who need a bit of a boost, or who have areas of specific difficulty.

We hope these really help your therapy sessions and help everyone enjoy the process!

Jacqui

Wazibonela, this is a word from the Zulu language, one of the 11 official languages spoken in South Africa and it means “experienced”.

Jacqui is the one that has been in the field of speech-language pathology for the longest period of time. Her areas of interest are early intervention, auditory processing, school-aged language, remedial learning difficulties and most of all, seeing children blossom as they develop new skills.

Tarryn

uKuhlela, this means means “to organize”, and it is a passion of hers. Amongst other things, she derives great enjoyment from activities that involve colour coding, labelling (label makers are the best) and laminating etc.

Her professional areas of interest are far reaching, however, she has recently worked primarily in the area of early communication intervention and Childhood Apraxia of Speech.
